Henry is a Northern California native by way of Chicago. Newly retired, he’s either training for his next Iron Man, coaching or out on the golf course.
Coach Henry brings a dynamic, enthusiastic, and motivating style to training. He believes in a moderate progressive approach to building high-level fitness. He started his Triathlon journey at the Total Body Fitness Golden State Tri in 2011 as a spectator. In early 2012, he competed in a Super Sprint without coaching and proper equipment. With coaching, equipment and newly gained knowledge, by 2013 he was competing in Sprint Triathlons and placing in his age group. By 2014, he started competing in Olympic distance Triathlons. In 2016 he competed in his now yearly 70.3 Ironman in Santa Cruz. Currently, he is training for his second full Iron Man! With his increased desire to learn more and train more, Coach Henry became a Certified Personal Trainer through National Council of Certified Personal Trainers and a Level I USAT Triathlon coach in 2015 and a SlowTwitch Certified Swim Instructor in 2019. He has been fortunate enough to have been allowed to learn and grow from several successful coaches in the Sacramento region. With his years of experience, Coach Henry has been involved with hundreds of athletes in their pursuit of personal fitness goals, marathon goals, and triathlon goals.
